Folks Of Fifth Street: Meet Brenna! Brenna is a regular studio member and you've probably seen her incredibly distinctive work drying on the shelf.
Brenna recently graduated from Alfred Univeristy School of Art and Design in Alfred, NY where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an area of focus in ceramic sculpture.
“My favorite thing about ceramics is how versatile clay is and how far you can take it. Recently, I have been entranced with recreating the essence of growth or at least attempting to, as well as a pinching method that gives a certain edge to my work, playing with sharpness and softness.”
You can certainly see this in her work, which mimics the organic forms of coral, fungus, and flora.
