Learn the basics of pottery on the wheel in this 6-week beginner class!
We will cover:
- hand wedging
- centering on the wheel
- throwing basic forms
- how to glaze
We will learn these basics through three projects:
- bud vases or trinket bowls
Classes begin the week of APRIL 12th
evening classes instructed by Sophia Roberts
morning classes instructed by Rainy Hopwood
The class will meet weekly. The class will meet for 6 consecutive weeks beginning on the date listed, and access to studio work hours will last up to the final class meeting. The wheel class includes 2hrs of group instruction per week, 8hrs of studio work time per week, and access to all equipment and materials needed for throwing pottery.

Note: We are taking extra precautions to make sure that everyone is safe and healthy in our space. Classes have been limited to 6 students. All students, instructors, and techs are required to wear a mask in the space. Tools and equipment are being sanitized between each use. Studio work time outside of classes will be on a signup basis to ensure that the studio does not become overcrowded.
