Discover the art of Nerikomi, a long-standing ceramic technique: Nerikomi, derived from the Japanese words "neri" (kneading) and "komu" (to gather), involves the meticulous blending and layering of colored clays. This revered technique results in stunning patterns and textures, transforming functional objects into pieces of art.

Enjoy a hands-on introduction to a time-honored ceramic tradition as we make colorful holiday ornaments! Marvel as your colored clays come together to make entirely unique kaleidoscopic patterns and swirls!

Artist and instructor Alex DerGazarian will guide participants through foundational ceramic techniques and provide an experience that is approachable and fun. Participants will choose from a selection of colored clays and learn how to create layered patterns with the colored clays and a white clay base.
